Horowitz, Moses ha-Levi

Horowitz, Moses ha-Levi
(1844-1910)
   American Yiddish playwright. He organized a Yiddish company in 1878, which performed plays throughout Europe. In 1886 he settled in New York, where he wrote for the Yiddish stage. He introduced operetta into the repertory of the American Yiddish theatre.
